I have been a runner since 1997. I have been thinking about starting a new running race series for years. I volunteered at small races and worked at a expo for a marathon for a couple years which only fueled this desire. Losing my job this summer has given me the time to organize my own run.
I have been a casino chip collector even longer (since 1991). During my last trip to Las Vegas I combined my two hobbies and ran to 20+ casinos collecting chips.
On Saturday, May 1st in Las Vegas will be my first organized run: The Casino Chip Challenge. It’s a 7-8 mile fun run up & down the Strip with a few side street detours passing by 35 casinos. Please note that collecting casino chips is not a requirement! The website is www.casinochipchallenge.com
My primary goal is to have a successful run at a great location. My long-term goal is to build this into a race series at casino destinations (Reno, Laughlin, Colorado, etc.).
Entry Fee Includes T-Shirt!
Individual: $25.00
Groups of 10+ (who register together): $18.00
